The Platte County Historical Society & its Ben Ferrel Platte County Museum

Lisa Wittmeyer is a former teacher who now volunteers as a curator for the Ben Ferrel Platte County Museum in Platte City. She also writes articles for and edits the Platte County Historical Society's history magazine. Lisa has deep roots in this area as some of her ancestors settled near Parkville in the 1800s.
