Message from Parkville Rotary President Dave Rittman
To: All Parkville Rotary Members
Good afternoon all,
Three subjects were presented to the Rotary membership in attendance at today's lunch meeting - Sept 26, 2025 that I would like to make you aware of. They were:
1. Starting next Friday, I will provide every first Friday of the month a brief, informal approx. 5-10 minute update of what is going on in the Club that your Board is working on. There is quite a bit in process, and the concept is to ensure the membership has an opportunity to be made aware of key activities, programs, and events.
2. Many of you, but not all, are aware that after 25 years of service, Bob Stone asked the Board at the last meeting to step down as Secretary due to health issues. His efforts, diligence, and skill sets have been sincerely appreciated all these years on behalf of Rotary. Our Rotary member Nora Hildreth volunteered to assume a good part of Bob's ongoing tasks, and your Board unanimously elected her to the Secretary position this last week by electronic vote. She will grow into the position over the next few months. Bob was asked and has agreed to remain on the Board in a newly created Member at Large position to assist in the transition and provide historical insight to our day to day operations near term. Thank you Bob and Nora for your ongoing dedication to Rotary.
3. Our bylaws require that a one month notice be provided prior to our annual meeting scheduled the first Friday meeting in November of the proposed slate of officers for the upcoming year July 1 2026 thru June 30, 2027. All nominees listed have agreed to serve. An opportunity was provided the attendees for alternative nominations from the floor. There were none. A copy of the handout memo provided at the meeting as required by the Bylaws is copied below:

Notice of slate of elected officers 1st Regular weekly meeting in November, 2025
Serving July 1 2026 thru June 30, 2027
To: All Members of Parkville Rotary Club and Parkville Rotary Charities
Article II Section A and B of our Bylaws require one month notification of the slate of officers for President, Vice-President (President-Elect), Secretary, and Treasurer. The nominations duly made shall be read in September or October and shall be voted for at the annual meeting on the 1st regular weekly meeting in November.
The proposed slate is as follows:

President Elect Joe Carroll
Secretary Nora Hildreth
Treasurer Dave Rittman
The officers so elected, together with the Immediate Past President and those appointed by the President-Elect shall constitute the Board. Prior to assuming office on July 1, the President-Elect shall appoint some member to act as Sergeant-at-Arms, additional Directors as specified in Article II, and Committee Chairs as specified in Article IX.
