Don has been a member of the Rotary Show Me Council since 2015. In 2017, Don was a member of the District 6040 team that led a successful Centennial Legacy Dinner Campaign that raised $3.2 million for The Rotary Foundation. He is a member of the Rotary Foundation Bequest Society, a Benefactor and a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.
Don was raised in Hiawatha, Kansas. He is a graduate of Washburn University.
Following University, he joined VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America). There he met his wife Karen, when they were both assigned to a project with Georgia Legal Services. They have three adult children and seven grandchildren.
Don had two careers. One in Restaurant Management and one in Financial Services. In both fields, he became a Regional Manager.
Don is active in his community and church. He currently serves his church as an Elder and Missions Chair. He is currently a member of the Mid-America Presbytery Coordinating Council and Heart of America Camino Board. He is also President of the Koelliker Family Reunion.
