Help support Rotary International's fight against polio by donating today!
Please join Parkville Rotary and consider donating for the eradication of Polio. For every $100 that is raised prior to October 24th, our district will match that with an additional $100.
Rotary International will then match with an extra $50 bringing that total to $250. The Gates Foundation will then match and double that amount bringing the grand total for each $100 raised to be $750 for Polio Plus!
Across the district and within all of Rotary International being a Paul Harris Fellow is meaningful. It signifies that you support The Rotary Foundation, its causes and the work it funds around the world.
So, are you interested in becoming a Paul Harris Fellow?
Well, we have a program this year that can help you get there a little faster. I'll be sharing various incentives throughout the Rotary Year.

Rotary Leadership Institute - Part 1 starts soon!
RLI or Rotary Leadership Institute Part I will be online via Zoom in October and November. If you've taken RLI, please recommend these classes to a friend. If you haven't taken RLI, please join us to learn more about Rotary. Agenda's are attached for your convenience. Please note that you must attend both nights in the session you choose to get credit for the class.
October:
Night One -Tuesday Oct. 17 from 5:15 to 8:15
Night Two -Tuesday Oct. 24 from 5:30 to 8:15

The cost is $30 and you can pay online when you register. Checks can also be made out to HOA-RLI and mailed to me at 850 Fairway Drive, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
I will send more information and the materials once registration is completed. Future dates to note: Part II will be held Jan. 9 and 16, 2024 and Part III Jan. 23 and 30, 2024.

2. Register for Foundation HOOP-la 2023. Registration will open soon.
3. Dig into your closet for your best pair of sneakers and dig out your favorite team jersey (basketball or otherwise). The event is very casual!
4. Consider donating an item for the silent auction and a bottle or two of wine or whiskey for the wine/whiskey pull. We’ll have both a silent and live auction during the night. Could you help by donating an auction item? Information on donating items will be sent out soon.

Parkville Rotary at the Foundation HOOP-LA
Parkville Rotary would like to put together a list of members who would like to join us at our 10-person table. If you would like to join in, please RSVP back to me with the number of tickets you would like? Tickets are $125.00 each. We will wait to invoice you so that we make sure we have 10 and we can all sit together! Don't' wait long as half of the tables are already reserved.
District 6040’s Foundation HOOP-LA on November 4, 2023, 6-9 pm
The Theme: District 6040 is taking a bold, new approach to our annual fundraising and recognition dinner. The event is active, and engaging, and will inspire every Rotarian in District 6040! Please plan to attend. You can expect to shoot some free throws, sit at the announcer’s table, play at other games, and see the greats of college basketball at the College Basketball Hall of Fame in Downtown Kansas City Missouri.
