Kat Stone brings nearly 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience across Kansas City and the Philadelphia region, with a career focused on building sustainable organizations and expanding community impact. She is certified in professional fundraising and has led efforts spanning donor development, volunteer engagement, strategic planning, and board leadership.
Kat currently serves as President of BOOST KC, (formerly Assistance League of Kansas City), a $1.2 million all-volunteer nonprofit that supports thousands of children, families, and older adults throughout the Kansas City metro. Under her leadership, Boost KC continues to strengthen programs that provide clothing, basic necessities, and educational support to those facing economic hardship—powered entirely by volunteers and community partnerships.
She is known for her practical, people-centered leadership style and her ability to mobilize volunteers and donors around meaningful, measurable outcomes.
This note is a reminder that the Parkville Rotary Board meeting was moved from tomorrow evening, Wednesday, March 4th to 8 days from now, Thursday March 12th at 5:30 PM. The meeting will be held at Parkville Rotary President Dave Rittman's house.

This year the conference will be held at the Rotary Youth Camp in Lee's Summit April 24th and April 25th, with a special concert to be held on Friday, April 24th.

Now, we’re inviting Rotarians to step in as Rotarian Counselors — mentors who model service, leadership, and compassion while guiding students through four unforgettable days of growth, connection and fun!!

Guide small teams through interactive leadership sessions
Model strong values, teamwork, and joy in service

District 6040 Challenge!
After a very successful Foundation Dinner in November (Thank You! for your Club's donations and participation) we are poised to finish this Rotary year strong!
At PETS last year I suggested focusing on two things - asking every member to commit to $144 (EREY per capita goal for the District) and use Rotary Direct as the tool for giving.
Rotary Direct is an easy way to ensure your members' donations to The Rotary Foundation are regularly processed, making it easy to fulfill a goal or commitment to being a Paul Harris Fellow, a Paul Harris Society member, or simply supporting The Rotary Foundation.
The Challenge
On February 1st, I'll run a report of all Rotary Direct giving for the district. I'll run the report again on July 1 and the Club with the largest per capita gain in members using Rotary Direct for AT LEAST $12 per month (or $144 per year) will win a fabulous prize.
What's the prize?
You'll pick the date and your favorite local watering hole and I'm buying the first round for all members of your Club who show up! Socialize and celebrate - what could be better?
I may drag along some big shots from the District and maybe have some give aways or Rotary swag. Of course the real winner here is The Rotary Foundation and funding District grants with recurring donations to The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund.
Fire up your Clubs to finish the year strong and let's look forward to a fun Happy Hour this summer!
