Register Now for The ABCs of The Rotary Foundation
District Leaders and Rotarians,
As your Zones 30-31 Foundation Teams serve as a resource to each District and its Rotarians,we often hear that we assume that everyone knows about the basics of The Rotary Foundation, but the evidence does not support that assumption. For example, only about 50% of Rotarians in our two Zones, the Heart of America, support Our Rotary Foundation with their donations, and worldwide, that percentage drops to about 30%.
Our response to that is a webinar titled "The ABCs of The Rotary Foundation" to be presented Tuesday, November 7, 6:00pm CT.
This promises to be a fast-paced hour with various team members as presenters. But the success of the event depends on you and your leadership teams getting the message out to your clubs and fellow Rotarians. Please spread the word !!!
Register now and lead by example. See you there !!

The Parkville Rotary Club is signed up to volunteer at the Salvation Army Kettle Ringing on December 9th, from 4-6:30 at the Hy-Vee at 5330 NW 64th St., Kansas City, MO 64151.
This is a great cause and we hope to see you. We will have a sign-up sheet for 45 minute shifts - if you can't stay for the entire time. Please be on the lookout for the sign-up sheet in a future email/at our club meetings.
What Happens When You Ring
Each year, The Salvation Army will serve more than 25 million people across America – including many here in your community. That means 55+ million meals for the hungry, 10+ million nights of shelter for the homeless, and countless Christmas gifts for children who may otherwise go without.
So truly, you can make a difference with every ring. The funds you raise as a Salvation Army bell ringer will make a year-round impact in your community through social services assistance, homeless shelters, disaster relief, children’s programs, rehabilitation services, anti-human trafficking, and more.
Donations in the red kettle stay local – directly impacting the lives of your neighbors by helping them in their time of need. When you ring the bell, you’re making change happen.

Dave Overman Update (in his own words on Facebook...)
You have no doubt heard (and probably used) the term “my tummy’s growling.” Would that mine were as tame. Thanks to a couple of high powered, broad spectrum antibiotics, mine is not only growling it’s roaring, snorting, stomping, romping, bucking, whinnying, grumbling, gurgling (think comic mad scientist lab sounds), to the point of going feral (if you get my drift) and in TOTAL command of my attention. To “tame” the varmint I’m downing a couple of yogurts a day (UGH!!)+ taking probiotics.
Home health has been by to dress my legs three times and all assure me the healing process is moving along, but will take a little time. “Vitals” are good. Still waiting to see orotho doc about my left shoulder – still pretty useless.
My REAL home health provider continues to take good care of me making sure I keep up with my meds along will love pats (and gentle boots) as needed.
Stay tuned...
Dianna Collins is a Grandma x 2!
Dianna's beautiful grand babies made their entrance into the world last Friday 10/27/2023 (in the middle of Rotary, lol). They were born at 31weeks 5 days and unbelievably they are breathing on their own.
Avery was born at 12:28 pm 15.25 inches long and 3lbs 10.5oz.
Greyson was born at 12:29 pm 15.5 inches long and 2lbs 9oz.
Momma and babies are doing great. Now we just have to wait for them to come home. This is going to be a long wait. We were told its not based on weight its based on health so as long as they stay healthy and continue to grow we hope to have them home by Christmas.
