Topic: Changing of the Guard / 75th Anniversary Celebration
Please join us Friday night for the Changing of the Guard and celebration of our 75th anniversary at C-point Weatherby Lake. We will be acknowledging the end of the COVID year, beginning of a new year and celebrating 75 years of the Parkville Rotary Club (est. March 26, 2021).
This will be a great time to get together, meet in a social setting outdoors, and enjoy each other’s company and the opportunity to enjoy Dave Overman’s BBQ. We hope to see you all Friday night at 5:30. Please note, this event is BYOB.
Our Rotary calendar year is July 1st through June 30th. Please scroll down to UPCOMING PROGRAMS below for our 2021-2022 programs calendar. All members have been given a date to provide a program for this new Rotary year.
Kathy Leibrand is our Programs Chair/President-Elect for 2021-2022. Please send your speaker's information and your speaker's bio to both Kathy and Dalyn Novak no less than one week prior to your program date so that we can make sure the information is included correctly on the website and in the weekly newsletter. Ideally, we'd get at least your speaker's topic one month in advance so it can show up in the upcoming programs list in the weekly newsletter.

Below are a few reminders to help you find a speaker for your date.
1) As noted above all members are assigned a date to provide a Friday program. Please find a speaker to present that day. You will be finding a speaker about once a year. It is much easier to find a speaker a few months in advance vs. a few weeks so PLAN AHEAD! You can also be your own speaker if you have an interesting topic to talk about!
2) Remember to keep your topic free of politics and religion!
3) Make sure you provide your speaker with directions on how to find us in the Park University underground. There is a map on our website's homepage that you can direct them to in case you need it.
4) If you are having a hard time finding a speaker email Kathy Leibrand (email listed above). We get emails from time to time from people who would love to come speak to our club.
5) We are currently providing the Zoom meeting option (hybrid meetings) for those members who are uncomfortable attending in person or for those members who are traveling and can't attend the meeting.
