March 26th is the 75th anniversary of the Parkville Rotary Club, and President Lee Mclain has asked Dr. Donald Breckon, President Emeritus of Park University to present the program, focusing on past accomplishments of the Club and future challenges. The title of his presentation is Parkville Rotary’s 75 Years of Service Above Self. Looking Back with Pride and Ahead with Optimism.
Don served as president of Park College/University from 1987 until 2001. He has been an active member of our Club since January 1988. Besides having served as President, we has been named Rotarian of the Year, District 6040 Club Champion, and now is an Honorary member of our Club.
We are hoping to be able to celebrate this momentous anniversary as a group in the near future.
COVID-19 UPDATE: Parkville Rotary has been meeting virtually since mid-March 2020 due to the pandemic. Our club will continue to meet virtually until the Parkville Rotary Board determines it is again safe for our members and guests to meet in-person.
