Food Pantry Volunteering - This Thursday!
Our next day to help at the food pantry is Thursday August 20. We will be unloading the Harvesters truck and then stocking shelves. The truck arrives around 7:30 AM. We should be done in about and hour.
SPEAC is located in the lowest level of Parkville Presbyterian Church, Highway 9 entrance. Please park on the east side of the parking lot (facing the Park U fields), to give the truck plenty of room to pull up alongside the building.
Come join a happy group of volunteers and help make a difference in our community! Friends and family, of all ages, are welcome.
I just received a text message from Sandi Schmude that Lucile Hobbs, spouse of Mike Hobbs passed away. Mike was a very well know former President of Parkville Rotary.
The celebration of life will be at Meyers Funeral Home, on Main Street in Parkville at 4:30 PM September 4th. I am sure more details will be on Meyer's web site shortly.

District 6040 Paul Harris Promotion
For the 1st half of Rotary year 26/27, District 6040 is offering an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to make a donation to The Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund SHARE.
The District will match points to dollars 1:1!
If you make an Annual Fund SHARE donation of $500, the District will match with 500 points and you'll be recognized with a Paul Harris Fellowship.
If you make a $250 donation, the District will match with 250 points.
If you make a $367 donation, the District will match it!
If you make a $1000 donation, the district will match with 1000 points and you'll be recognized with TWO Paul Harris Fellowships!
The Fine Print:
Points cannot be used to meet your Paul Harris Society obligation.
The points program is for Annual Fund donations only.
Points will be matched up to 2000 per Rotarian during the promotion.
If you'd like to take advantage of this promotion and truly make a difference in the world and in our District, contact me and I'll take care of the paperwork.
