A Thank-You from Don & Sandy Breckon
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
Thank you for the “Don Breckon Day”. It was great fun, and was very much appreciated, especially the memories and tributes.
Serving with you and many others for nearly 35 years has been a privilege and a pleasure, and together our small club has worked wonders in the community and the world. Your friendship and our fellowship at meetings and beyond have been especially meaningful during the 21 years of my retirement.
You are among the finest people I know, and Rotary is among the finest organizations I know. Your commitment to “Service Above Self” and “The Four Way Test” is exemplary!
I have especially appreciated commitment to “The Four Way Test” when engaged in business relationships with Rotarians Steve Bleish, Mark Comfort, Scott McRuer, Sandi Schmude and Bill Quitmier. The same goes for when I was at Park and employed the services of Tony Tognascioli and Homer Williams. (Forgive me if I have missed some.)
I will be transferring to a smaller Club, where two Clubs recently combined, but retained all the projects of each of them. They are very active, and I look forward to getting to know them. However, I expect to be back in Parkville and look forward to seeing you at a meeting. It most likely will be late Fall or early Spring, when it is cold up there and warm down here.
Yes, this Club has challenges, and thus it has always been, but I am confident the Club is in good hands and will prosper. All the best.
Don (and Sandy) Breckon
(L to R): Kathy Leibrand, Mark Comfort, Don Breckon, Sandy Breckon, & Steve Youngblood
Two RYLA Attendees Express Gratitude
From Eddie Batts, our RYLA committee chair:
Dear Parkville Rotary Club,
The Missouri RYLA Academy has been a really fun and great experience for me. I was able to make a lot of new friends with most of my group members and probably made life long friends. Thank you very much for making this experience possible.
Something we did that was a personal highlight for me was when I was able to talk and go out of my comfort zone, dance with 2 of new girl friends that I made because I usually can't really talk to girls or really dance with them.
It would be great to have the opportunity to thank your club personally, please let me know when it would be possible to visit one of your club meetings.
The Membership Committee has been hard at work putting together new membership forms! All members can access the forms by clicking on the blue box below which will take members to a dropbox link with the forms. Give these to potential members! The new spouse forms can be found here as well.
The following forms can be found in the link:
Standard Rotarian Membership Packet
Corporate Membership Packet
Spouse Membership Packet
Please submit the forms filled out to Dalyn Novak (dnovak@wskfarch.com) so she can get new member information added to ClubRunner after the board's approval!
