Presenter: Dave Woolwine

David Woolwine (Dave) is currently co-chair of the Board of Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter (FOPAS). He has been a volunteer at FOPAS for five years and helps with the finalization of the adoption process of cats. He is also a crew leader of volunteers who feed the cats and clean the cat shelter on Thursday mornings. Dave is a retired teacher, school administrator and associate superintendent of schools. After retirement, he volunteered as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for Clay County for eight years and served on the CASA Board for Clay County. Dave is the proud adopter of two FOPAS rescue cats, Murray and Moe.

Dave’s presentation will include the history of the Parkville Animal shelter, challenges of sheltering animals through the winter, animal adoptions, volunteer opportunities, the needs of the shelter, or any other topics the Rotary Club audience wishes to inquire.
