Online Fraud and How to Protect Yourself

 Our office and our federal agency partners have over the past 8-12 months seen a dramatic uptick in reports from victims of online fraud. Many report loss of their entire life savings—millions of dollars in some cases. I have developed a presentation that identifies the types of scams we’re currently seeing and tips to avoid falling victim.

Surveys have shown that those who heard about scams and the tactics scammers use were significantly less likely to lose money. I hope that this presentation will empower Rotarians to protect themselves, their family, and their community.
