"Border War" between Missouri & Kansas

Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area tells the stories and builds awareness of our region’s past, present, and future: the settlement of the western frontier, the Kansas-Missouri border war and Civil War, and the enduring struggle for freedom.

Holly Zane with Freedom’s Frontier will tell us about the “border war” between Missouri and Kansas which is one of Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Areas’ four themes. She is will also tell us about the creation of Quindaro by her tribe, the Wynadot, in 1856 (which is across the MO River from Parkville).

Holly’s sister, Kristen, will also be in attendance. She is a Freedom’s Frontier Trustee.
